    We are thrilled to have one of the young APP talents in transplant surgery join us to discuss her career path to becoming a Nurse Practitioner in Cardiac and Liver transplantation. As a Nurse Practitioner in transplant surgery, she has the very unique role of managing clinical care throughout the entire continuum, including assisting in the Operating Room and harvesting.

    She will bring an amazing breadth of experience from a top-tier academic institution working with some of the foremost surgical teams in the world.

  • Pre-Operative Dental Care

    One of the main complications of Open Aortic Surgery is infection, which can be lethal when doing large grafting. Additional toxicity from mercury amalgam fillings has also been shown to increase intra- and post-operative risk for major adverse events. We will hear from a Biological Dentist certified by the pre-eminent organizations in safe removal of mercury fillings about the proper protocol for our surgical patients.
